Hunger Awareness Program (for students in grades K-4)
The historical setting during the Great Depression in the novel To Kill a Mockingbird, along with anti-hunger resources, will be used to illustrate how this extreme economic downturn led to unemployment, poverty and hunger.   Hunger awareness reading materials, activities and games will be used to engage, empower and educate children about the interrelationship between hunger, poverty and food security.   This program will be presented by Second Harvest Food Bank.  To register, call 419-433-5009 or email huron@huronlibrary.org
